Agnes Mbonyiryivuze (PhD)

Dr. Agnes Mbinyiryivuze is the former Head of Education at East African University Rwanda and holds a PhD in Physics Education from the University of Rwanda-College of Education. She has a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics with Education from the University of Rwanda-College of Education. Dr. Agnes has taught science and mathematics since 2005 at the secondary school and university levels. Dr. Agnes has won different fellowship awards and research grants. Currently, she is participating in different research projects, mainly in the domains of science, physics, and education. Dr. Agnes has published more than 20 articles in international peer reviewed journals and attended different international conferences, meetings, workshops, and trainings. She is also actively involved in closing the “Gender Gap in STEM” through the Organization for Women in the Developing World (OWSD) and the Rwandan Association for Women in Science and Engineering (RAWISE).

Aloys Iyamuremye

Mr. Aloys Iyamuremye, currently he is a PhD candidate in chemistry Education in the University of Rwanda College of Education (UR-CE). Has a Master’s degree of Education in chemistry education graduated from the University of Rwanda, College of Education (UR-CE). He is main objective is to boost quality of teaching and learning mathematics and science via technology. He has over three years of teaching experience. Currently, he is part-time chemistry assistant lecturer at Kigali Independent University (ULK) and development officer of Parabol Research & Development consulting Ltd. Mr. Aloys Iyamuremye is a researcher in the area of Mathematics and Science education with technology. He is looking at bridging the gap between policy and practice in teaching and learning Mathematics and sciences. All his publications can be found on his ORCID number

Céline Byukusenge (PhD)

Céline Byukusenge has a PhD in Biology Education from University of Rwanda-College of Education. She holds a Master’s degree of Education from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with Education from University of Rwanda-College of Education. Céline has taken part in a variety of educational research projects and is passionate about using innovative and active teaching and learning strategies to enhance students’ understanding and attitudes towards science particularly in the field of biology.

Ezechiel Nsabayezu

Mr Ezechiel Nsabayezu is a dedicated PhD Scholar in Chemistry Education at the University of Rwanda, College of Education, School of Education. He possesses a master’s degree in chemistry education and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with Education from the University of Rwanda, College of Education. He is an assistant lecturer at Kibogora Polytechnic, and Kigali Independent University (ULK). He serves as an external validator of the Educational Program of Mount Kigali University (Former Mount Kenya University). His expertise lies in Science Education, particularly Chemistry Education, ICT integration in Education, and innovative assessment methods. His intellectual acumen, commitment to learning, strong work ethic, and robust mental well-being define him, while his self-motivation, drive, and results-oriented approach underscore his leadership capabilities in collaboration and independent work.

With a remarkable track record, Ezechiel has written and published over 28 impactful research papers across renowned journals such as Education and Information Technologies, Journal of Science Education and Technology, and the International Journal of Education, Training and Learning, among others. Félicité Pacifique Mutuyimana

Experienced Lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in the nanotechnology industry. Skilled in Research and Development (R&D), Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Education, and Analytical Skills. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Philosophy – Ph.D. focused in Analytical Chemistry from Lanzhou University. Research focused on the synthesis and characterization of fluorescent carbon nanodots with long-wavelength emission and their analytical applications in biological and environmental samples. Very enthusiastic about preparing novel nanomaterials and using them for the detection and treatment of diseases as well as the use of nanoscience to promote global development.

Fidele Ukobizaba

Fidele Ukobizaba (Mr.) is a Master of Education holder in Mathematics education at the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS), University of Rwanda – College of Education (UR-CE), Kayonza, Rwanda. He holds a Bachelor (Hons) of Education (BEd) in Mathematics Education from the former Kigali Institute of Education (currently UR-CE). From 2013 to 2019, he served as a teacher of Mathematics in secondary schools in Rwanda prior to enrolment into the master’s program in 2019. He does research in Mathematics education and provides educational consultancy services to government and private entities. Currently, Mr. Ukobizaba Fidele is a consultant in the Continuous Professional Development for Innovative Teaching Mathematics and Science (CPD-ITMS) program.

Jane BATAMULIZA a Ph.D. student in Chemistry Education Research (CER) from the University of Rwanda (UR) through the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) hosted in the College of Education (CE). She pursued her Master’s degree (M.Ed., Educational Planning, Management and Administration) from Mount Kenya University–Kenya (MKU), in 2017.
